One of the early photo sessions with Patato where he had to wear a crown to emphasis that fact that he felt like the kind of congas. The year was around 1974 and Patato was extremely influential in introducing me to his circle of black Cubans who were some of the greatest percussionists and rumberos I have ever met. Having Patato say to his friends that I was "ok" gave me credentials that no doubt were extremely helpful in building LP® to the dominant force in percussion, the world over.
