Felipe Luciano, known for his network TV work, pioneered Latin jazz radio, with the help of his wife Nancy Rodriguez. They started in the 1970's by working for free at the then non-profit New York radio station, WRVR. The show would begin at midnight. They would also consult with guys like Andy Gonzalez, the end result were some very hip music programs. During one of his broadcasts he invited some of the best percussionists to the studio for a live broadcast. Shown in this photo from left to right is Patato's former son in law, Domiciano, José Mangual, Jr., Nelson Gonzalez, the late Frankie Rodriguez and Felipe. In the foreground is Nicky Marerro and Gene Golden with the stocking hat on. Circa 1974.
