Eddie Montalvo
Eddie Montalvo plays while mambo dancer Nadeen performs her special steps.

Eddie Montalvo has been my friend for over 20 years. He is a groove player and possesses one of the crispest sounds of any conga drummer in the world. He is the kind of conga drummer that singers love to have back them up. His rhythm is what dancers depend upon for keeping them in lock step to the infectious Afro-Carribean music that Eddie has been playing since he was a kid growing up in the South Bronx.

Besides being a great musician I have always used when producing recordings (his Drum Solos recordings taught many a drummer to keep time and solo), he is also a great human being. He is the guy that would take his shirt off his back and give it to you. He has more than once been abused by his "friends" for his generosity. He can't turn down a guy on the street asking for a handout and has maintained both a career in music while working at Con Edison in New York for over 25 years.
