Recently
some of the top Dominican musicians performed
at the United Palace Theater in Washington Heights,
NYC. The show was put together by Easy Entertainment
and the community to bring great music and culture
to the uptown, Manhattan neighborhood with a population
dominantly from the Dominican Republic. The evening
featured mostly Bachata music, which is a combination
of merengue and bolero. Participating
musicians for the evening were: Papilon
Alvarez, Michel Camilo, Guarionex Aquino,
Mariadalia Hernandez, Victor Victor, Sonia Silvestre
and the Punto Fijo merengue band, just to name
a few. Check
out backstage and concert photos in this exclusive
congahead.com gallery and listen to some sound
samples of the fabulous music from this evening. Santo
