Myself presenting the story of LP: "From My Basement to Bangkok"

Tito Puente Photo Exhibition and My History of the Creation of LP
and the Percussion Industry

On August 3, 2005 I had the honor of having an exhibition of my photographs of Tito Puente, a retrospective of images taken over a span of more than 40 years. This exhibit took place at La Casa de la Cultura in Boston, Massachusetts and was initiated by musician and friend Alex Alvear, and Vanessa Calderon-Rosado from this cultural center.

In addition to my photo exhibition, I was delighted to have the opportunity to present "From My Basement to Bangkok, The Creation of a Percussion Industry" at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. This slide show is a history of the creation of Latin Percussion, the company I founded in 1964. Special thanks to Dean Anderson of Berklee for making this happen - and it was wonderful to meet the new visionary President of Berklee School of Music, Roger H. Brown.
