Eddie Palmieri recently performed at Cooper Union in NYC with a large ensemble of talented musicians that included: Mario Rivera and Ivan Rents (who performed in the first Montvale Session with Little Johnny) on sax; Brian Lynch and Ray Vega on trumpet; Joe Santiago on bass; Conrad Herwig on trombone; Herman Olivera on vocals; Little Johnny Rivero on conga; Johnny "Dandy" Rodriguez on bongo; Jose Clausell on timbale; and Eddie himself on piano.

Los Pleneros de 21, a group devoted to playing plena and bomba, the characteristic music of Puerto Rico, opened the performance.
