Brooklyn
native, Ralph Irizarry, and his band, Timbalaye,
recently performed at the Arka Lounge in New York
City. Such talented artists as Bob Franceschini,
Alex Norris, and Luis
Perdomo have created musical arrangements
for this "tight" seven-piece group.
Ralph has backed up performers like Ray Barretto,
and Luis Perdomo, and he has the distinction of
being one of the only American-born, Latin percussionists
to be invited to record in Cuba with Issac Delgado.
In 1997, Ralph was given a prototype set of LP®
Tito Puente Bronze Timbales to try out. They
have proven to have an extraordinary cascara sound.
LP® is proud to announce that the LP Tito
Puente Bronze Timbales are now available as part
of its product line.
Ralph and his band have two albums currently in
release on the Shanachie
label. Listen to their cutting edged sound
