Friday the 13th was a good luck night for me, my friends, and my family as we arrived at The Zinc
Bar to hear some great soucous music played by Kaïssa and her band. The audience, in keeping
with African tradition, got up to dance. Kaïssa plays soukous, in addition to many other African
music styles. She often fuses them together with other styles of music.
It was especially great to be able to share this wonderful music with my sister Judy, my daughter
Andrea, my wife Vivianne, and my cousin Muriel. As always, the music at Zinc was REAL.
