An
Afternoon of Music
In
keeping with the tradition of providing a creative,
relaxed environment to create music that could
also become a laboratory for product development
and improvement for Latin Percussion, I hosted
an Afternoon Of Music on July 2nd at my home.
Featured
in this gathering was Samuel Torres, musical director,
arranger and percussionist; Little
Johnny Rivero percussionist on LP
Giovanni Compact Congas & Djembe;
Ernesto Simpson, drummer on LP
Tito Puente Timbales; Robert Rodriguez, pianist;
Arturo Romay, guitarist; Panagiotis Andreou, bassist;
Ivan Renta, saxophonist; Anthony Alvarez, percussionist
on LP
Pro Merengue Güiro and Tambora;
and Julie Dollarson, vocalist.
As
always, my wife Vivianne provided a feast for
the hungry musicians. After a day and evening
of music it was into the swimming pool for a game
of volleyball.
