Randy Weston at 90 years old, wowed the audience at Marcus Garvey Park with his African inspired jazz. A must attend concert for jazz lovers. This performance was held at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, NYC.
One of the musicians that impressed me the most was Toots Thielmans who I had the occasion to meet several times. I was especially impressed when he sat in at the Jazz Cafe in Brussels, Belgium with the Latin Percussion Jazz Ensemble, a group I put on tour between 1979 and 1980 to spread the word of my percussion brand, LP.
