WELCOME to Congahead.com! My name is Martin Cohen and my passion for music has fueled much of my life. Since the 1950's, I have been photographing and recording the world's most creative and exciting musicians.
I began this website in order to share my good fortune in knowing many of the world’s finest percussionists and instrumentalists. I wanted to share the images, recordings, interviews, and movies I made of these legendary musicians. Within Congahead you will find many exciting sound clips, movies, photos and interviews from my personal collection. I invite you to join me online as I present the most talented musicians of contemporary music.
2006 was the year that I embraced Profiles in Greatness©, short videos of talented musical artists whose unique gifts are deserving of a world audience not only from congahead.com but also from MySpace and YouTube. I have taken the liberty of sharing images from travels with my family and from the many parties that my wife Vivianne and I have hosted in our home.
It also was a great honor to be inducted into the Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame on October 10, 2006. I want to thank all the great musicians that supported congahead.com over the last 10 years.
